Bromley High Street

Major renovation

The site sits in Bromley North Village, the building dates back to 1876 and was initially used for a wine importing business since 1865 along with various other uses including a pub/bar throughout the years. The existing site comprises of a 1800s period building frontage facing the high road, a large poor quality infill extension in the existing courtyard, a stable's building at the rear of the site and a large basement. The site was recently bought by a developer who requested a proposed scheme.

Closely assisting the main architect at WEBB Architects we came up with a mix of use proposal which comprises of a long term document storage space (B8 use class) at basement level. A 2 storey Gym/fitness studio (D2 use class) set in the infill extension area at the rear of the site and also taking up the stable block. A Pub/restaurant (A3/A4 use class) to part ground floor using the street frontage. Office accommodation (B1 use class) on the first floor of the main building front. Finally residential flats (C3 use class) on the second floor and converted third floor of the main building front.

With a thorough understanding of building and planning regulations the proposal was accepted, we await the final decision from the developer to proceed to the next stage, sourcing contractors.
