Pratt Street

Loft conversion and renovation

The project, a townhouse resting off the vibrant Camden High Street. The brief included alterations to the ground floor, renovation on the first floor, spacial re-organisation on the second floor and a new loft space.

The layout sees - at ground level, a lounge and dining combi area leading onto a generous fully fitted kitchen space which looks out to the garden via a renovated conservatory. Bedroom 1 has been renovated to high standards. First floor is kept simple with a modest redecoration scheme. On the second floor, change to the spacial layout, a new bathroom is fitted and a simple renovation scheme is applied with improvements to storage space and new staircase to access the new floor. The new loft levels holds a generous double bedroom with en-suite  and  balcony space. Obtaining planning permission grant was not an issue.

The client was quite concerned with the heating of the property(electric) which was considerably expensive, we not only amended this to gas central heating but an additional 50m insulation was added to the interior walls of the principal elevation. The addition of two new bathrooms and a new kitchen saw new pipework put in place and the installation of a new man-hole. M&E drawings were also supplied.
