New build family home

 

A three bedroom two level house. The clients, a family of four set out a brief which was difficult to achieve within the constraints of the site. The sensitivity of the site amongst neighbouring dwellings called for a basement inclusion.

The layout sees - at ground level, an open-plan living space leading onto a generous balcony featuring glazed

bi-folding doors overlooking the garden set at basement level which hosts a green wall. Parking space for one large family vehicle is included within the build. An indoor garden along with optional roof lighting helps spread natural light at the lower level.

The basement level host three bedrooms that all have access to the garden which effectively acts, not only as a meet up space for the family but also as a means of escape in the case of an emergency. The master bedroom has an en-suite. A laundry and cinema room were also in the clients brief.
